In this week's episode, we are very pleased to announce that MTCJ (the official Academic Journal of the International Association for Mass Timber Construction has just achieved its highest IMPACT FACTOR (a measure of impact for the publications) so far in our short history. A great achievement and grow impact of the journal. In more exciting news! The journal has now been approved for Crossref. Crossref makes research objects easy to find, cite, link, assess, and reuse. We’re a not-for-profit membership organisation that exists to make scholarly communications better. We are very pleased to announce the winners of the Rothoblaas srl "Build the [Im}Possible" competition. Congratulations to the team from RWT Plus in the Professional category and Tyler Hull. The competition would not be possible without the team at Rothoblaas srl and the projects founder Peter Lang with support from the team. Thank you to the judges for the work in assessing the entries. Bring on the 2022 challenge! Congratulations to the all the winners. The Netherlands has pursued an aggressive agenda which has meant a spate of net-zero residential conversions. UK studio Bennetts Associates has used cross-laminated timber and glulam to create the lightweight King's Cross Sports Hall, which is currently being used as the Construction Skills Centre. Structurlam Mass Timber Corporation, the leading mass timber manufacturer in North America, has welcomed Paul Drace as the company’s new vice-president of sales for construction east division and industrial North America. Effective January 2022, Ralph Austin, will be stepping down as President of Seagate Mass Timber Inc. taking on a reduced role within the operations group for the company. Scott Comfort assumed the role of President. Brookfield Asset Management has been given the go-ahead to construct a state-of-the-art office building made entirely from timber in central Perth.
